This year, I’m running the following races to raise money for Asha for Education:
San Antonio Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon
When I joined the Asha Half Marathon team two years ago, I didn’t really know what to expect. It wasn’t until I learned about Asha that I realized I had the opportunity to do some good in this world simply by making the commitment to get in shape and run 13.1 miles!
This is where you come in. My commitment can be fulfilled only with your donation. I am asking you to please donate as much as you can to help me reach my goal of $1310.
Year after year, I commit to raise money for Asha because it’s a truly amazing organization. It’s volunteer-only, and 100% of your contribution funds an Asha project in India. I run for the Shristi Special Academy, which is a school for children with special needs in Bangalore. I’m especially interested in supporting this program because it has been so successful. The educators have made such a difference, and your donation pays their salary to that they can continue changing the lives of these kids.
I understand these are some tough times, but these kids could only dream of living under the circumstances of a stressed American economy. Every dollar makes a difference, and I hope you will donate what you can to make a difference. I hate asking for money, but when I see the good that so little can do, I’m easily motivated. I hope you are too!
