We have committed to raise $2620 or more for the Humana People to People project this year. The Humana People to People India (HPPI) academy for street and working children is located in Sahibabad Industrial Area near Ghaziabad in UP. The school is mainly targeted towards children of migrant laborers that live in a slum/urban-village called Kadkadmodal. The goal of the school is to provide basic education to the children, to teach them good life practices and to encourage and enable them to join government schools after 3rd standard. Since July 2008, Asha Austin has been supporting the operating expenses of the school; premises’ rent, school supplies, teachers’ salaries, teachers’ transportation within the community, children’s health checkup and exposure visits.
